Lady Gaga: NOT Engaged to Taylor Kinney (or Anyone Else For That Matter)

Relax, 24 million monsters. It's just a joke.

Despite a picture posted to photographer friend Terry Richardson's blog with the caption "showing off her new engagement ring," Lady Gaga is single.

One can see how confusion might arise, but rest assured, our girl is really not engaged to recent ex Taylor Kinney or anyone else for that matter.

Lady Gaga, Engagement Ring

Richardson, whose job is apparently to produce viral content like Lindsay Lohan pics or the Kate Upton "Cat Daddy" video, posted the photo on Sunday.

The two have been collaborating on a new book of Lady Gaga photos, which is how this image - of her showing off a massive diamond ring - came to be.

Gaga and Kinney (The Vampire Diaries, Chicago Fire) had been dating for the better part of a year, but reportedly broke up for good a few weeks back.

Friday, Richardson also posted a photo of Gaga wearing nothing but black tape on one of her nipples. Check it out in our gallery of Lady Gaga pics!

Amped Wireless launches dual-band 10,000 square feet router, now no wall is safe

Image

High-power wireless maven Amped Wireless has finally filled that conspicuous dual-band gap in its lineup with the R20000G router. Promising to cover the same 10,000 square feet that its predecessor, it'll flit between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands to ensure you can catch unbroken video around your house on the go. Beside the five ethernet jacks you'll find a USB 2.0 port for adding some network storage and the company's usual raft of features. It's available for $180 on Amped's website from today, and should be arriving on store shelves shortly.

Microsoft Research's MirageTable brings some augmented reality to your tabletop

Image

We got a look at a holographic telepresence project from Microsoft Research earlier this week, but that's far from the only Kinect-enhanced rig it's working on these days. This setup dubbed a MirageTable was also shown off at the Computer-Human Interaction conference in Austin, Texas this week, offering a glimpse of one possible future where two people can interact with virtual objects on a table as if they were sitting across from each other (or simply do so on their own). To make that happen, the setup relies on a ceiling-mounted 3D projector to display the images on a curved surface, while a Kinect on each end of the connection both captures the person's image and tracks their gaze to ensure images are displayed with the proper perspective. You can check it out in action after the break, although some of the effect is lost without 3D glasses.

MIPS unveils new Aptiv mobile chip design, vows more speed in a tiny space

Image

MIPS has only had a slight amount of traction in smartphones and tablets given that its best friend is Ainovo. It might get a better footing in an ARM-dominated world with a new range of processors in the Aptiv line. The highest-end chip of the bunch, the ProAptiv, is reportedly much smaller than its ARM opponents across the aisle while managing the same speed, goosing the floating-point math, memory addressing and multi-core support to where it's as much as 75 percent faster over the previous generation. That's good news for mobile devices and set-top boxes where space is tight. MIPS isn't leaving embedded gear like 4G LTE modems alone, either, as the mid-size InterAptiv and tiny MicroAptiv are getting similar improvements. If you're eager to get cracking on a processor of your own, you can license MIPS' new work right away -- and us plebeians who simply buy the devices can expect Aptiv to be ready for gadget use by the middle of the year.

Apple's iPad WiFi + 4G renamed 'iPad WiFi + Cellular' across many of its stores

Image

Remember Apple's new iPad WiFi + 4G? Well, forget that moniker, as this variant of the company's latest slate has been quietly re-dubbed as the iPad WiFi + Cellular. As noticed by 9to5Mac, the change occurred within the last "24-48 hours" across many of Apple's region-specific webstores (update: and retail locations), including (but not limited to) those for the US, UK, Australia, Canada and various countries in Asia. If you'll recall, in many regions the best you'll get out of the slate is HSPA-connectivity, even though it's also equipped for LTE -- something that Apple itself had considered good enough to market it as 4G despite offering refunds to customers in Australia who (like many others) couldn't officially partake in its LTE. Interestingly, 9to5Mac also notes that a similar change hasn't made its way over to the iPad 2, which still has its cellular-equipped variant named, iPad 2 WiFi + 3G. We've reached out to Apple for comment, but the meantime, feel free to hit up the source links below for more insight.

Exclusive: Watch A Clip Of Wolfgang Gartner's 'Redline' Video!

Full video premieres Monday on mtvU and Tuesday on MTV Clubland.

" 'Redline,' to me is the ultimate anthem," electronic dance music producer Wolfgang Gartner told MTV News recently. "It's all built around this really simple yet catchy melody, but it's got all the turbo-fueled drops and peaks that are necessary to make a club smash."

With his latest single, the L.A.-based house producer certainly adds another smash to his catalog, which includes hit collabos with Tiësto ("We Own the Night") and Eve ("Get 'Em"). His latest effort also adds a dash of "feel-good" to the party.

"['Redline' has] a bit of a more positive and optimistic feeling about it than a lot of my other stuff, which I like and seems to resonate well with people in that way," Gartner said.

The video for "Redline" will be premiering on mtvU on Monday and MTV Clubland on Tuesday, but MTV News was lucky enough to get an exclusive sneak peek/a> at the new animated clip. It shows WG redlining his grey-and-red race-striped sports car, booking it to a gig in a nearby city. While on the road, he dreams that a section of his car is turning into a spaceship and shooting off into outer space. The teaser clip ends with speaker arms protracting from his spaceship and WG turning up the volume on his spaceship-car mixer. An outer-space party appears to be on the agenda.

The video for "Redline" took almost two weeks to make and was created by New Media DNA with Erica Damier directing and Jose Cubero serving as lead animator.

"The beat was the inspiration for the video," Damier told MTV News. "After brainstorming ideas, we knew there had to be a car involved, since the name of the song is 'Redline,' and it involves the whole concept of redlining a car."

"I loved it!" Gartner gushed. "The sort of caricature look that they gave me, might turn off some people when they accentuate your features. They gave me this massive forehead! But I loved it.

"My manager put it best: 'It's like your own personal Saturday morning cartoon,' " Gartner continued. "And that's totally true. It's like a cartoon starring me, riding in spaceships, and all the big bursts and explosions are timed to the music in a way that really makes it hit."

Wolfgang Gartner's "Redline" video premieres Monday on mtvU and Tuesday at 3 a.m. on MTV CLubland.

How does the "Redline" preview compare to Wolfgang Gartner's "Illmerica" video? Sound off in the comments below, and follow @MTVCLUBLAND for updates on the "Redline" premiere!
